Our backyard, the Sea-to-Sky Corridor, now has a world-class hard enduro race, with the inaugural Squamish HE. The weekend started with the prologue by the ocean in classic Squamish fog and rain. It was a great-looking course with massive logs for obstacles. Luckily, the skies cleared for the rest of the weekend and main race.
The new course was filled with technical uphills, sketchy downhills, greasy granite slabs, all covered in wet roots and rocks that Squamish is known for.
The awesome crowds were certainly the highlight of the race, with spectators cheering on the racers even in the most remote parts of the course.
